WANT TO BUY SOME ILLUSIONS?

Posted on 10:07 AM by feeqwfqewef
Louise Boulanger opened her own salon in 1927, after apprenticing with Madeleine Cheruit. She designed for a very short period of time. Closing her house briefly in 1933 and permanently in 1939. With notable clients including icon Marlene Dietrich, Boulanger was famous for working in taffeta and in bold colors. She also created the "pouf" evening dress with resembled a dramatic bustle. Being the 1920s and early 30s, Boulanger worked variations of bias cuts and her work is stylishly similar to Vionnet. We are currently restoring a spectacular white crepe and crystal bias cut gown, but in the meanwhile, we are thrilled to offer this flawless gold woven metallic and navy lace evening gown with crossing empire belt with deco dramatic hardware. The condition is sublime and the original cream slip is sold with the dress. One could imagine Marlene Dietrich wearing this dress while smoking a cigarette (with a holder of course) and singing a Friedrich Hollaender song. Want to buy some illusions?
